Sometimes the stories worth sharing aren’t just about events…
They’re about choices, growth, and community showing up.
This spring, one local teen is doing exactly that.
He’s graduating with honors, heading to UMD for engineering—and before that, he’s preparing for a mission trip to Ecuador this July with Renovation Church.
But here’s the part that stood out to me as a parent and publisher:
👉 He’s not just asking for help
👉 He’s working for it
🌱 Earning His Way
To help fund the trip, he’s taking on:
✔️ Yard clean-up
✔️ Spring prep
✔️ General outdoor labor
He’s reliable, hardworking, and has strong references—and he’s actively booking jobs now.
If you’ve been putting off yard work, this is one of those opportunities where:
✔️ You get help
✔️ He earns his way
✔️ And it supports something meaningful

💭 Why This Matters
As a parent, watching your child choose growth on their own hits differently.
This wasn’t assigned.
It wasn’t required.
It was a decision to step into something bigger—through community, faith, and service.
And now, it’s turning into a full-circle moment where the local community gets to be part of that journey too.
💙 Want to Support Directly?
If yard work isn’t what you need right now, you can also support his trip directly:

You can also learn more about the trip and what he’ll be doing while in Ecuador.
🙌 A Little Community Goes a Long Way
Macaroni KID has always been about more than events—it’s about connecting families, supporting each other, and showing up when it matters.
This is one of those moments.
If you’d like to:
✔️ Book yard work
✔️ Or support his mission
It all makes a difference.
